Do you want to know a secret? I toured with Take That & Massive Attack as a keyboard player.

During the tours I would often have spa treatments and massages at some of the top hotels in the world...

As I lay there, the music would be either whale noises or panpipes ... sound familiar?

I asked spa therapists if this was the only music available?

Many massage therapists were frustrated with the choice of music out there.

Tamara (my massage therapist in London) said "the problem with relaxation music is that there is nothing that combines natural sounds, quality music and relaxing suggestions".

Then for a few months I forgot about it, until I moved to a beautiful house by the sea ...

I started recording the sea and making my own relaxation music.

Tamara said "You've toured with these big bands, please can you just make a simple piece of beautiful music that has gentle waves and relaxing voices so that my clients can deeply relax?"

Since then I have given this CD to friends who are insomniac too - with amazing results.

A musician I knew on tour could never get to sleep in his hotel room due to the different time zones ... now he says "I put this CD on and I am asleep before it finishes no matter if I'm in Sweden or the USA. It just helps me unwind and I really enjoy my moment of peace and tranquility".

Now, back to Tamara (my massage therapist), the other thing she requested was music of different time lengths, she explained that spa therapists like putting on the CD without having to worry about timing their treatments. She puts the CD on before the client goes in the room and knows when the CD stops that the treatment has finished.

Since I have made this CD, copies have been given to friends and spa treatment therapists to "road test" its effects. Here are just a few comments back about how it works :
